Hospitality giant Oyo recently stated that it has launched Oyo care feature on its mobile app. By availing this feature, users will be able to book quarantine as well isolation facilities for Covid-19 patients and individuals to support the healthcare system of the country.
Oyo founder and group CEO, Ritesh Agarwal stated that the Oyo Care initiative will provide guests to choose an Oyo next door, so that they can self isolate. Through this initiative, Mr. Agarwal aims to unburden healthcare workers, patients’ families, and contain the spread of the virus by providing safe quarantine spaces.
The hospitality giant has joined hands with over 30 hospitals, many government authorities, and private sector companies to ensure that it provides its services to dedicated properties across cities as self-isolation and quarantine centers for healthcare professionals and frontline workers. It also aims to offer a safe place to stay to relatives of Covid-positive patients.
The CEO of Oyo India and South East Asia, Rohit Kapoor said that with Oyo care, the company it aims to offer a safe space to everyone, who wants to protect and isolate their loved ones, and to the frontline workers, who need a safe space to stay near hospitals.
Kapoor further stated with Oyo’s presence across India, it has been able to fulfill the space requirements of the healthcare system. He added that the company is dedicating selected properties across cities, so that they can be served as isolation facilities for Covid-19 positive patients.
The company is extremely grateful that its asset partners have come forward to aid the company to fulfill the growing needs of the healthcare and frontline workforce during these challenging times.
The hospitality giant is currently also offering accommodation facilities to the employees of local government bodies. Oyo further said that it will provide accommodation for post-travel isolation of tourists and also for people travelling for emergencies and other reasons.
