Every business must upgrade its processes, adopt new technologies, and innovate its solutions. The developments may be difficult due to various factors such as evolving domain knowledge, experience, solution expertise, and so on.
This has created a need for expert guidance that can provide the best solutions for optimizing resources and accelerating processes. Modern consultants have been critical in providing the right solutions that have prepared business organizations for new challenges.
Dr. Dipti Joshi has emerged as a versatile and efficient change-maker who has made a significant difference in several business organizations by providing professional business services in various functions. She has successfully transformed hundreds of business enterprises into optimizing their business potential and boosting growth as the Founder and MD of Finezt Finance Consultancy Pvt Ltd and the CEO of IEL – Institute of Educational Leadership.
An Odyssey of Self-discovery
Her entrepreneurial journey has been full of ‘magical’ challenges and opportunities. She had never imagined herself capable of doing so many things in her life. She is a serial entrepreneur who has tried several times to start her businesses and now has her own two successful ventures, Finezt Finance Consultancy Pvt Ltd and IEL Institute of Educational Leadership, of which she is the Founder, MD and CEO.
Besides that, she’s involved in various other organizations throughout India in various capacities. Finezt Finance was established in 2010 after she left her previous position as an Engineering Manager at Reliance to start her own business. Her business was successful after two to three years of struggle, and she began operating it on autopilot mode by 2014. She adopted a few children, took a small career break for them, and simultaneously pursued Master’s and Ph.D. research studies.
Dr. Dipti founded IEL Institute of Educational Leadership in 2019 primarily because her daughter encouraged her to pursue a career in education, and today, IEL is virtually present in seventeen Indian states. She recently registered Finezt Finance Consultancy Pvt Ltd, a modified version of Finezt Finance aimed primarily at financial inclusion and education. Dr. Dipti has received more than 100 awards and recognitions, which she credits to her ventures and the blessings of her children, making her feel honored and humbled at the same time.
Tradition of Entrepreneurism
Dr. Dipti had always wanted to run her own business. This was a natural thought for her because she came from a business family and had entrepreneurship in her blood. Initially, she worked a few jobs to build her financial reserves, including a four-year managerial position with Reliance, soon after finishing her engineering degree.
>She did her PGDFM in Financial Management, quit her job and started business in finance. At the same time she also worked as a visiting faculty at an engineering college as an alternative career path. However, her business grew quickly, and she never needed a second job, so she began venturing more and more into the business world.
Countering Challenges with Preparation and Discipline
>Dr. Dipti faced numerous challenges initially. When she first started business in 2010, she discovered that men heavily dominated engineering and finance. She believes that the situation is gradually improving today. Women’s leadership, however, remains under-represented in these two domains.
When she founded Finezt Finance, she noticed that the final decision-makers were almost always men. She found it difficult at first because not everyone was genuine. On the other hand, she saw it as a challenge to prepare herself for any situation that would make her stronger and better.
Dr. Dipti revealed that she was fortunate to have good people accompany her on her journey. She noticed that as one associate with the right people, life becomes easier and smoother, followed by success.
Admired Virtues
Authenticity and integrity are the core qualities that have earned her widespread respect and admiration. Gaining someone’s trust requires honesty, hard work, dependability, sincerity, and consistency. That is her most important value, both personally and professionally.
Furthermore, it has proven to be a two-way process because when one is honest, others around them are automatically inspired to be honest, creating a win-win situation for everyone.
A Versatile Catalyst
She has developed her professional command in diverse industries, which has become her USP. The long list of her multi-industry ventures includes the media industry as All India Bureau Chief of LokSamna News, the fashion industry as the State Co-ordinator for AGS Grooming Academy, Philanthropy through her role as National Director of NCWDC (National Child and Women Development Council) and many more. She’s been winner, jury, mentor and ambassador of couple of beauty pageants. She also gets invited by many institutes and organizations as guest lecturer, guest of honour and jury member for their various programs and events.
Her current projects are related to agriculture, health care, export, cosmetics, etc. Dr. Dipti expresses to have been blessed with opportunities to learn and explore diverse sectors, and she still looks forward to learning and exploring more.
Business Success Mantra
She advises young industry professionals to know themselves and follow their dreams. She asserts that business is not about money, market, customer, or product. It’s all about the entrepreneur.
Dr. Dipti says, “It’s very crucial that you first learn about yourself before learning marketing, finance, product design, or customer services. Your strengths, your weakness, your aspirations, and your dreams are what matter the most. So instead of focusing on what others are doing, which is the most profitable business, current trends, or demand, the focus should be more on what you want to do, why you want to do and how you want to do it. In my opinion, the success of any business depends solely on the person behind it.”
Envisaging a Progressive Future
Dr. Dipti is optimistic about the future of her projects because technological advancements and automation support them. She appreciates how new technologies and innovations have made doing business easier.
She is currently working on a project to implement (AI) Artificial Intelligence in Hydroponics farming and agro-tourism with hi-tech farming, which could include drone technology, farm planning, and so on. Dr. Dipti believes that the future will be brighter if businesses can capitalize on this opportunity.
